Learn how to wait and everything will fall into place

I hope you are well and enjoying the summer. For todays post, I wanted to focus on the topic of patience. Most of my students and clients often ask me, “How can I become more patient?” Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. Impatience, the opposite of patience is a flavor of anger. I wrote about the various flavors of anger several weeks back. When we listen and honor our impatience, we can sense what is at the root of it. Impatience arises for all types of reasons, but often it is because we are expecting a certain outcome or goal to happen faster than it actually is. Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You are stuck in traffic and really want to get to where we are going.
  • You have a deadline that we have been told needs to happen today, but there is a hold up.

Who is the best kind of leader? The one who you would follow.

Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flow charts, it is about how we influence one another.

We all have strengths and weaknesses and our strengths usually dominate what we choose to focus on and these strengths get better over time. They say it takes 10,000,00 hours to really master something. I feel at this point in my life, I have mastered being a wonderful teacher, workshop and program leader, curriculum developer, and life coach. All these skills support each other and I have hours and hours and years of practice. I feel completely confident in these roles and at this point they feel somewhat effortless, hallelujah! However, what I am still mastering and learning is writing and leading and co-collaborating with teams. These skills are somewhat natural to me, but they also require more attention and discipline. How to ignite your inner radiance… 

Inner Radiance is what is unique and true about who you are.  There has been a theme in my coaching practice in the past several weeks of owning ones power, being vulnerable, and authentic.

Every one of us has a unique combination of talents, strengths, weaknesses.  The make up of each one of us is unique to who we are and therefore allows each of us to have a unique purpose and calling.

I can ONLY be Carley.  I can’t be someone else even when my mind moves into comparing how I wish I had this, or why can’t I have this trait, etc.  I have my strengths and weaknesses that I am always learning about and working with.

If I can whole heartedly love and accept the many parts of me, I can be more open to everyone on my path and more engaged in my life and purpose.  Sounds good right?  … READ MORE...
